I estimate I am about 45% up the long FrameMaker 7.0 learning curve, so I
have gotten nice and used to FM's stolid predictability (which I value
highly). Imagine my surprise when the following occurred out of nowhere.
I had imported a PDF graphic into an anchored frame by reference. As I have
done many times in the past, I then placed a text frame fully within the
anchored frame (i.e. on top of the graphic). I noticed the end-of-flow
marker was in the wrong place and (to cut a long story short) I found that
in certain positions within the anchored frame, the text frame was very
difficult to select. Furthermore, in these positions, the text within the
text frame would not move when you moved the text frame - it became locked
in an absolute position. You could even move the text frame itself totally
away from the text, so you could not even see the text. However, in other
positions within the anchored frame the text frame behaved normally in every
way. Has anyone else ever encountered this?
