When I upgraded to Windows 2000 a few years ago, the scroll wheel on
my mouse stopped working in FrameMaker. I installed software
(IntelliPoint 4.0) and that fixed the problem.

Last week, I've upgraded to XP and noticed, again, that the scroll
wheel doesn't work in FM. I asked our IT people for the same fix for
my mouse wheel. They installed IntelliPoint 5.2 Mouse Software for
XP, but that didn't do the trick...it didn't break anything as far
as I know, but it didn't fix anything either.

So, I poked around on the Web and found this freeware. I installed
it and it worked...I can now scroll in FM with the middle wheel. I
don't know if you need to use this software in combination with
IP5.2. Here goes: http://eduard.hiti.bei.t-online.de/.

Good luck.

Thanks for the link! For those that have trouble with KatMouse,
another popular choice is FreeWheel:

Freewheel is great. I use it exclusively and have never had a problem.
It makes working in frame so much easier.
