Since ... 20 years or so...I have never succeeded in working with Word but I
have to give my document in word format!

To my knowledge the best solution is mif2go,
http://www.omsys.com/dcl/omni.htm.

Dunno if it works with equations/graphics, but there should be a test
version available.

Some years ago, I bought mif2go but I found bugs and I don't really use it.
The problem is for equation and picture translation.

You might still want to try the newest version. They successively
enhanced it.
