This may be considered a little off-topic, but the document I
describe below is actually made in FrameMaker (single-sourcing).

Since 1998, I have made "single sheet" overviews of the
World Cup and Euro Championships in soccer (football).
Now I've made the same thing for the World Cup 2006 in Germany,
which starts next week. The world's largest sporting event
after the summer olympics.

This is an A4-size single paper that shows all games, groups, tables,
match-ups, and kick-off times, following a day-by-day time axis.
There is room to fill in all results, group standings, and final
placings of all teams. Some tournament rules are also outlined.

It's not interactive, but you get all info in one place, and you
can immediately see how the teams match up in the final rounds.
Feel free to download this PDF sheet from my web page:
http://web.comhem.se/~u13220996/WC06/
where you'll also find the previous WC and Euro overviews.

FM info: the document is a giant table with lots of straddled cells
and custom ruling & shading. For each version, there's a template
file containing variable and color definitions. By importing formats
from these, the language and contents change accordingly.

P.S. I recommend printing out on a good color printer,
or enlarging it to A3 paper size.
